Sessions
Time for your body to stop bracing
Every session begins the same way — with a proper conversation about what you're bringing, and what you'd like to leave behind. The difference is how much time we give your body to respond.
The practical part
What to expect
Sessions happen at my home studio in the Cann Hall Area of south Leytonstone — on the 58 bus route and five minutes' walk from the 69 and 257. It's 25 minutes walk from the Leytonstone tube (Central line), 22 minutes walk from Forest Gate (Central line), 21 minutes walk from Wanstead Park station (Suffragette line) and 17 minutes walk from Leytonstone High Road station, 17 minutes walk from Maryland station (Elizabeth line). Visitor parking permits are available if you're driving. I also practise from Wanstead, 3 minutes walk from the tube (Central line).
Before the massage
We'll start with a conversation about what you're bringing, what you'd like to leave behind. If you'd rather write than talk, there's a short form I can email you instead. If you'd like to maximise your time on the table I can email you a form to complete.
The session itself
The structure is deliberately slow, almost ceremonial. It begins with a sarong draped over you — a way of marking the start, slowing the pace, and bringing you into your body. From there the work follows what your body asks for.
Clothing & oils
This is oiled work, on skin, with the sarong keeping you covered apart from the area being worked. You undress to the degree that feels comfortable — that's yours to decide, and nothing about the session depends on it. If you have a nut allergy or sensitive skin, say so when you book and I'll use an oil that suits you.
Afterwards
The ending is given the same care as the beginning — excess oil gently removed from the skin, time to talk through anything that came up, and time to land again at your own pace. Water, tea, and a hug if that's what's needed.
Paying
Payment is by bank transfer.
If you need to cancel
Life happens. Give me as much notice as you can — a day or more and we'll simply find you another time.
Health conditions
Tell me when you book if you're pregnant, recovering from surgery or injury, being treated for cancer, or managing a heart condition, blood clots or anything else significant — we'll shape the session around it, and occasionally I'll ask you to check with your GP first. Sessions are for adults (18+).
